Haunted Items

Man has always been fascinated to know and experience the unknown, and haunted items have always been objects of thrill and adventure for many.

Haunted items may consist of anything and everything assumed to be haunted, from old tools, a watch or piece of furniture and photographs to haunted dolls, and jewellery. Auction sales for haunted mansion and hotels have also been recorded.

But why is the craze for haunted items so large? Can it be true that apparently harmless and lifeless object of everyday use be haunted by the supernatural energy of its previous owners? Many people term haunted items in other words such as ‘cursed’ or ‘possessed’ and animated by spirits. There have been instances when stories about ghost ship and ghost trains do the round. People describe seeing very old vintage trains zoom past through the night air even if the rails were removed off the tracks long ago.

Who can forget the legendary haunted items have fascinated the public perception for years, like the Hope Diamond, the Flying Dutchman and King Tuts tomb. It is believed that these and many similar haunted items might have retained the spirit of long dead souls. Most of the haunted items are believed to belong to or are familiar to those dead. But in most cases spirits of those who die in tragic circumstances like murder, suicide, accidents, etc are believe to posses their favorite items.

There are stories and tales in every country and culture about haunted items and haunted places. It is believed some places and items can retain the energy of human beings. Just as our thoughts and emotions create energy; our lives also create energy. And sometimes those types of energy are stored in a house or other objects. It is said that the stronger the emotional bonding or energy attached to an object the more likely it will be to display psychic behavior.
